Blue Ki was founded by partners with deep roots in both the beauty and creative industries.
The vision and creative direction of the brand come from Leo Avet, a Los Angeles–based artist with a background in fashion and fine arts. With years of experience in both traditional mediums and digital arts, Leo brings a refined artistic sensibility to every piece we create.
Emma Khachikyan, co-founder, brings over 15 years of leadership experience in the beauty industry, having served as a regional executive for some of the world’s largest luxury brands. Her background in building premium customer experiences and brand storytelling is at the core of how we shape Blue Ki.
Blue Ki began with a simple frustration. Finding everyday essentials made responsibly, with care, and close to home felt almost impossible. In a city like Los Angeles, full of creativity and craft, that never made sense.
The problem was not skill or resources. It was priorities. Too often companies chose shortcuts over quality, people, and the planet.
We chose another way. Our focus is timeless essentials like tees, hoodies, and caps, made locally with ethically produced and environmentally friendly materials. From the first thread to the final stitch, everything we make is built to last with no compromises.
Our clothing is built on GOTS-certified organic cotton, the global gold standard for organic textiles. This certification ensures ecological integrity and social responsibility at every stage of production. Unlike conventional cotton, organic cotton is grown without harmful pesticides that damage soil, farmers, and ecosystems. It uses up to 90% less water, supports fair and safe working practices, and produces fibers that are naturally stronger and softer, resulting in fabrics that feel better against the skin and last longer. From yarn to finished fabric, the entire process is carried out here in Los Angeles, guaranteeing the highest standards and complete transparency in every piece we create.
The Fabric Speaks
We have so much confidence in our fabric that one of our staple products and most loved by customers is our line of undyed tees. These celebrate the natural beauty of organic cotton with absolutely minimal processing, allowing the fabric’s authentic character to shine. Each tee is pre-washed to prevent shrinking and treated with a gentle enzyme finish for a superior softness that feels premium from the very first wear. Made with 12 oz heavyweight organic cotton, our tees deliver exceptional durability and enhanced UV protection thanks to both the thickness of the fabric and its unbleached natural fiber content.
Made in Los Angeles: From Yarn to Finish
Our staple heavyweight organic cotton is crafted entirely in Los Angeles, with every stage of production, including spinning, knitting, cutting, and sewing, done locally. It is built to the highest industry standard using GOTS-certified organic cotton, the world’s leading certification for sustainable, chemical-free cotton production. Each fabric is prewashed to minimize shrinkage and ensure the best fit from the very first wear.
Why heavyweight matters: it provides much stronger protection against harmful UV rays on hot sunny days, and it far outlasts thin conventional cottons often used in the industry. The result is a garment with a luxury weight, premium look, and elevated feel you can see and touch.
Why Bamboo for Our Socks
Our socks are made with 95% bamboo. The highest amount possible in sock production, unlike most brands that use far less bamboo and more synthetics. Each pair is designed and manufactured entirely in Los Angeles with quality and sustainability in mind. Bamboo uses 70% less water than cotton, requires virtually no pesticides (compared to cotton’s heavy use of ~25% of the world’s supply), and grows up to 10x faster, making it one of the most sustainable fibers on earth. Beyond the environmental impact, bamboo offers superior softness, breathability, and natural antimicrobial protection. keeping your feet dry, fresh, and odor-free. And when it comes to comfort, bamboo feels so smooth and gentle against your skin that you’ll simply never want to go back to cotton.
Our Promise Doesn’t End at the Fabric
All of our packaging is made in the USA from recycled paper. It’s fully plastic-free, designed to deliver your order responsibly without excess.
We believe clothing is more than just fabric—it’s a powerful medium for artistic expression. From hand-painted designs and embroidery to distressing techniques, we craft each garment into a one-of-a-kind piece of wearable art.
Made with care and unconditionally loved by our customers, this signature bamboo socks exceed all expectations.
